Bridge No.17

Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station connects all the major cities and was developed to ease congestion on New Delhi railway station which is located approximately 7 kilometres to the North. It originates and terminates various Rajdhani Expresses going towards Indian cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Madgaon, Mumbai… (from Wikipedia)

Moreover, it is adjacent to Delhi’s two important arteries, the Ring Road and Mathura Road which cut large parts of this neighbourhood into islands of concrete. Settlements, mosques/mandirs and markets make the place extremely busy and the railway infrastructure is used as an obvious shortcut and open-air facility.
